The first and easiest way to get weapons is for members of your mafia family to store what will hopefully be excess weapons in their inventory. If you are in a situation where you are specifically needing particular weapons your family member can gift you the item.

The next more challenging approach to getting your hands on specific Mafia Wars weapons is to fight or rob other players. The odds are that you will be looking for a weapon that is better than what you have already so this will give the other player an advantage. Size up your opponent and make sure you check out their inventory to see whether they have anything of interest. You’ll need to make sure that you give yourself the best chance possible and makes sure your energy levels are up before attacking. Energy will give you the edge and almost certainly ensure you are successful.

Remember, quantity can be better than quantity so be sure to arm all of your mafia members. A good approach is to use cheap Mafia Wars weapons such as grenades and sawn off shotgun as there is no cash upkeep value for these.
