Why is Loot Important?

Mafia Wars loot is stored within your inventory and you can hold onto it to be used to your advantage. Within your inventory section you can choose to sell or buy various items and gift these items to your associate mafia family members where needed. Note that looted items cannot be sold for profit. Gifting is a useful tool for trading purposes within the mafia family and a way to ensure you are helped out in the future (if you gift on a regular basis) when you are in dire need of a specific item. The inventory is also a useful tracking tool for these valuables.

Within each job tier the opportunity exists to acquire various different types of Mafia Wars loot. This is done through carrying out jobs or getting involved in fights. A new feature to Mafia Wars is the Lotto which can be found in the Godfather menu.
